This spacious two bedroom house on three levels has truly unique character. Slate, imported from South Africa, gives an aprés ski lodge feel to this former artists' retreat. A newly renovated kitchen and bathroom, two fireplaces, spa and shower, tv, stereo, additional hot outdoor shower opening into the rainforest, and private slate terrace with b.b.q and views to the Gold Coast. The middle level is a large entertainment area designed for you to socialise with those preparing meals. A slow combustion woodheater and sofas are on this level with a solid table to seat eight on the original antique church pews either side. After dinner, you can move down to the lounge room and continue the night in front of the large open fireplace. Sleeping up to 6.

The house is constructed from western red cedar with terracotta floor in the living and dining areas. Handmade French tiles add to the country house feel. Slow combustion fire place, microwave, and large deck are other features of this comfortable dwelling which has two bedrooms and sleeps 4 people.

How to Find Us
We are located high up on Springbrook Mountain in the Gold Coast hinterland just 70 minutes from Brisbane and 50 minutes from the
Gold Coast Coolangatta Airport.

Directions
From Brisbane (Highway M1) travelling south:
Take Exit 79 for Mudgeeraba. Keep right, then turn right at the roundabout to go across the overpass, through the lights and turn L at the roundabout onto Railway Street. Continue on The Link Way through Mudgeeraba township, past Woolworths, then turn right, passing Coles supermarket. Take the first exit off the roundabout and follow Gold Coast Springbrook Road (#99) for 30km. When you reach the top of the mountain, continue 400m past Hardy's Lookout and turn right onto Repeater Station Road. A little further on (approx. 800m) you will find Julie's Retreat. Number 76 on the fence and an old wooden cart marks the driveway for the Cedar House, the driveway for the Stone House is the next one along the road on your right.
